The Chenin and  its soils  : example in the heart of grand cru thatched quarters and hillsides of layon 1er  raw thatch

For 2 hours enjoy an immersion in the heart of the only two wines of the Loire Valley. Through a walk in the vineyards 3 themes will be discussed  :
 

• Ranking of sweet wine AOCs  from Anjou  and the different styles of chenin wine that can be produced in this territory

• The impact  climatic evolution on the sensory profiles of chenin through a tasting of 2 cuvées from different vintages

• To finish, a tasting of a quarter of Grand Cru Chaume and a Coteaux du Layon 1er  vintage stubble will illustrate the impact  of the physical environment  on  wine

On a barge, discover the expressions of the Chenin 2014 vintage from 6 appellations  from Indre-et-Loire and Sarthe: Vouvray, Touraine-Amboise, Chinon, Touraine Azay-le-Rideau, Coteaux-du-Loir and Jasnières. A fine selection of dry chenins is presented to you during a unique Masterclass led by a sommelier  : let yourself be surprised by an original confrontation of the taste of the wines according to the nature of the soils and the ageing.
